Quilting Circle
Basic quilt-making skills and familiarity with machine and hand sewing techniques is a must. Students will choose quilting techniques they would like to learn throughout the session. Come to the first class with your “wish list” and any examples/books you may have as inspiration. We will focus on learning new skills and make smaller quilts that can be used as wall hangings, practical pieces like table runners,etc; but that will not exclude a student from making a larger project, if they prefer. Participants may also choose to work on independent projects and still enjoy the support and encouragement of fellow classmates. When needed, we’ll organize “road trips” to our favorite shops to purchase just the right fabrics for our projects. Students may use the Walworth Rec facilities on off-days with approved availability.
